W-League is Coming This Summer to Morgantown!

You are likely familiar with it; if not then go to this website for all of the details:

Their goal is to get local soccer organizations involved. This new team should be very exciting for everyone. The W-League is the highest level of women's soccer in the US and Canada. The 2008 campaign features a 41-team format in four conferences playing 12 or 14 regular season matches. The top women's players throughout the world compete in the USL W-League through the summer months.  In addition to the league featuring international and former professional stars, elite collegiate players have the opportunity to also compete in the league while maintaining their collegiate eligibility.  The league is recognized throughout the world for providing elite competition for women's players, while providing affordable family entertainment to many fans in each of the team locations.  The WV Illusion will have current and past WVU players on their roster.  It will springboard off the WVU soccer successes.

Keep up to date with as this may prove to be a worthwhile activity for all of the kids/teams to be a part of. As professional soccer is becoming more and more a part of mainstream sports in the USA, kids will need role models (in addition to their parents) to help chart their way through to their goals (nice play on words, huh?).
