The 2018 Fairmont State University Youth Soccer Camp will be held under the direction of 2nd year Head Coach Brandon Heembrock. In his first season Coach Heembrock has already accumulated the most wins, most conference points and highest winning percentage in program history. This will be the 2nd Youth Summer Soccer Camp for the Women’s Soccer program after a very successful Summer Camp last year, which saw almost 40 campers.
The Camp will be held on the beautiful Fairmont State University campus and Duvall-Rosier Field. The Camp is designed for all skill sets; from players looking to get into soccer all the way to youngsters who are playing travel soccer. No matter your soccer level, you will have fun and be able to leave camp having learned something new each and every day. The Camp will consist of a different focus each day. Monday we will focus on dribbling skills and technique. Tuesday we will focus on passing and the proper technique. Wednesday the focus will be on shooting, proper technique and correct ball contact. Thursday we will focus briefly on heading and the proper technique (For older ages) along with a review of the previous skills. Friday will end with Olympics day where all the skills learned throughout the week will be put to the test! Current Fairmont State Women’s Soccer players will also be present to not just meet and great all the campers, but also work with them on a daily basis.
Lunch will be provided on a daily basis, but we highly encourage sending campers with a healthy snack, as we will take a morning snack break. Water jugs will be available to fill up personal water bottles throughout the day. The campers will also be able to spend 1 hour each afternoon in the Falcon Center Swimming Pool. A lifeguard will be present at all times.
Any questions regarding the camp or Women’s Soccer program can be directed to Coach Heembrock via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 304-367-4944.
We do ask that all participants pre-register online prior to July 30th.
