Away Game Field Locations & Directions

Below are field locations and driving directions for MCSC away games. Please review the directions and any field-specific parking information before traveling.

Barbour County - Belington Elementary School

  1. Take Route 7 East to Reedsville, approximately 13 miles.
  2. At the intersection with Route 92 South and Kingwood Pike, continue straight onto Route 92 South.
  3. Stay on Route 92 for approximately 40 miles.
  4. Belington Elementary and Middle Schools will be on the right.
  5. The fields are beside the two schools.

Bridgeport City Park Fields

  1. From I-79, take Exit 121, Meadowbrook Mall.
  2. Turn toward Bob Evans, away from the mall, onto Johnson Avenue.
  3. Continue approximately 1 to 2 miles on Johnson Avenue through the residential area toward the schools and athletic complex.
  4. Turn right onto the City Park access road between Johnson Elementary School and Bridgeport High School.

Field Locations:
U12: At the back of the high school parking lot.
U10 and U14: Inside the park across the bridge, behind the baseball diamonds.

Bridgeport Recreation Complex

  1. From I-79, take Exit 125, Saltwell Road/Shinnston.
  2. Turn left from the exit ramp onto Benedum Drive.
  3. Travel approximately 2.7 miles.
  4. Turn right onto Forrester Boulevard.
  5. The complex will be on your left past the baseball fields.

Cheat Lake Soccer Complex

  1. Take Interstate 68 to Exit 7, Pierpont Road.
  2. If traveling east on I-68 toward Maryland, turn right at the top of the exit ramp.
  3. If traveling west on I-68 toward Morgantown, turn left at the top of the exit ramp.
  4. You will now be on Route 857, Cheat Road, heading toward Cheat Lake.
  5. Travel approximately 2.2 miles. If you reach Cheat Lake, you have gone too far.
  6. Turn right onto Tyrone Road.
  7. Travel approximately 0.2 miles and turn right onto Crosby Road.
  8. Travel approximately 0.3 miles. You will pass the small Cheat Lake Library on your left.
  9. Crosby Road dead-ends at the school complex.
  10. The fields are down the hill to the right of the school.

Parking: Parking in the upper school lots and walking the short distance down the hill to the fields is recommended. The lower parking lot is small and usually full. Park only in clearly marked parking spaces.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION
  • DO NOT PARK on the side of the road leading to the fields. Vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense.
  • DO NOT PARK in the Imperial Woods subdivision behind the fields. Vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense.
  • All vehicles must use the Crosby Road entrance and park in the school parking lots.

Clarksburg - Hite Field

  1. Take I-79 South to Exit 119, Clarksburg/Bridgeport, Route 50.
  2. Go west/right on Route 50 toward Clarksburg.
  3. Take the Chestnut Street exit.
  4. At the end of the exit ramp, stay right onto Chestnut Street.
  5. Travel approximately 0.75 miles to Harvey Street.
  6. Turn right onto Harvey Street.
  7. Harvey Street becomes Stadium Drive.

Clarksburg City Park - Nutter Fort

  1. Take I-79 South to Exit 119, Clarksburg/Bridgeport, Route 50.
  2. Go west/right on Route 50 toward Clarksburg.
  3. Take the Joyce Street/Route 20 exit.
  4. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Joyce Street/Route 20.
  5. Follow Joyce Street to the traffic light at Hardee's.
  6. Continue straight through the light. The road becomes Buckhannon Pike/Route 20.
  7. Continue into Nutter Fort.
  8. You will pass the Route 98 turnoff, Nutter Fort Elementary School, and Grandma's House Furniture on your right.
  9. The park entrance will be on the left.

Clarksburg - Summit Park

  1. Take I-79 South to Exit 119, Clarksburg/Bridgeport, Route 50.
  2. Go west/right on Route 50 toward Clarksburg.
  3. Take the Joyce Street/Route 20 exit.
  4. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right.
  5. At the T-intersection with East Pike Street, turn right.
  6. In approximately 0.5 mile, turn left onto Simpson Street.
  7. Stay on Simpson Street until Murphy's Run Road.
  8. Turn right onto Murphy's Run Road.
  9. In approximately 0.5 mile, turn right onto Crowfield Road.
  10. The soccer fields will be on the left in the baseball field outfields.

Clarksburg - Veterans Memorial Park

  1. Take I-79 South to Exit 119, Clarksburg/Bridgeport, Route 50.
  2. Go west/right on Route 50 toward Clarksburg.
  3. Take the Joyce Street/Route 20 exit.
  4. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Joyce Street/Route 20.
  5. Continue through the traffic light at Hardee's. The road becomes Buckhannon Pike/Route 20.
  6. Continue on Buckhannon Pike and turn right onto WV-98.
  7. Continue approximately 2 miles toward the VA Medical Center.
  8. Take the second entrance after crossing the bridge and before the VA Medical Center.
  9. The fields will be on the left beside the helipad.
  10. If you miss the second entrance, take the next right and the fields will be on your right.
  11. If you reach the pool, you have gone too far.

Core Health Care Field

  1. Take Route 7 West from Star City.
  2. The field is approximately 6.3 miles from the intersection with Chaplin Hill Road.
  3. The field is located beside the Core Health Care Clinic.

Laurel Point Soccer Complex

  1. Take I-79 North from I-68, or I-79 South from the Pennsylvania state line or Star City exit.
  2. Take Exit 152, Westover/Route 19.
  3. At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn onto Route 19 South. If coming from the north, turn right. If coming from the south, turn left.
  4. Stay to the left so you do not turn into the Morgantown Mall. Continue straight past the mall entrance.
  5. Travel approximately 3.5 miles. You will see a small white Mountaineer Auto sign on the right.
  6. Continue another 0.2 to 0.3 miles through a couple of turns in the road.
  7. Slow down and look for the MUSC Laurel Point Fields sign on the right.
  8. Turn right onto the gravel road and take the right fork up the hill.
  9. Continue up the hill to the fields.

Mylan Park Turf Field

  1. From I-79, take Exit 155, Star City.
  2. If coming from the south, turn left at the end of the exit. If coming from the north, turn right.
  3. Travel approximately 2 miles.
  4. Pass Mylan Park Elementary School on the right and continue past the main entrance to Mylan Park.
  5. The turf field will be visible on the right.
  6. Enter the Mylan Park South entrance and travel alongside the Monongalia County Schools bus garage.
  7. Follow the road to the large parking area and turn right.
  8. Please park in the paved parking area.

Preston County - Kingwood

The fields are located in front of Preston High School.

  1. Take Route 7 to Kingwood.
  2. At the intersection of Route 7 and Route 26, take Route 26 South.
  3. After approximately one-third of a mile, High School Road will fork to the left. If you miss this turn, the next road on the left also leads to the high school.
  4. The field is beside the gravel parking areas below the high school.
Parking: Do not park in the "Buckwheat Express" bus garage area beside the field. Please use the gravel lots below Preston High School on either side of the road.

Shinnston - Big Elm Elementary School Fields

  1. Traveling south on I-79, take Exit 125.
  2. Keep right at the end of the exit and merge onto WV-131/Benedum Drive.
  3. In approximately 0.4 miles, WV-131 turns right onto Saltwell Road.
  4. Continue approximately 6.6 miles and turn right onto US-19 North.
  5. Continue approximately 1.4 miles.
  6. Big Elm Elementary School will be on your left.

Shinnston - Jewel City Fields

  1. Traveling south on I-79, take Exit 121.
  2. Keep right at the end of the exit and merge onto Meadowbrook Road.
  3. Travel approximately 4.7 miles and turn right onto US-19 North.
  4. Continue approximately 0.8 mile. You will pass the Sunset-Ellis Drive-In on the right.
  5. Just past the drive-in, turn right onto Jewel City Boulevard.
  6. If you cross a bridge after passing the drive-in, you have gone too far.
  7. The fields are adjacent to Jewel City Church.

Shinnston Soccer Complex

IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE A GPS ADDRESS FOR THIS COMPLEX. GPS may take you to the wrong location.
  1. Traveling south on I-79, take Exit 125.
  2. Keep right at the end of the exit and merge onto WV-131/Benedum Drive.
  3. In approximately 0.4 miles, WV-131 turns right onto Saltwell Road.
  4. Continue approximately 6.6 miles and turn right onto US-19 North.
  5. Turn left at the end of the Shinnston Bridge.
  6. Drive past Walt's and follow the road for approximately 0.75 mile.
  7. Look for Nuzum Trucking and soccer field signs on the left.
  8. Turn in and continue straight.
  9. Pass the buildings and power substation.
  10. The road will open into the soccer field area.

Please drive slowly when traveling through Nuzum Trucking.

Taylor County - Leer Mining Soccer Complex

  1. Take Route 119 South toward Grafton to the intersection of Route 119 and Route 50 near Four Corners Restaurant.
  2. Continue straight through the traffic light and down the hill.
  3. At the next traffic light, turn left to cross the railroad bridge.
  4. At the end of the bridge, turn left. Jerry's Restaurant will be across the street.
  5. Follow the road uphill for approximately 3 to 4 miles.
  6. The Leer Mining Soccer Complex will be on the right, in front of the golf course.

Taylor County - McCauley Fields

  1. Take Route 119 South toward Grafton to the intersection of Route 119 and Route 50 near Four Corners Restaurant.
  2. Continue straight through the traffic light and down the hill.
  3. At the next traffic light, turn left to cross the railroad bridge.
  4. At the end of the bridge, turn left. Jerry's Restaurant will be across the street.
  5. Follow the road uphill for approximately 3 to 4 miles.
  6. McCauley Fields will be on the left. These were formerly softball fields.

Upshur County - North End Park

  1. Traveling south on I-79, take Exit 99.
  2. Take US-33 East for approximately 12 miles.
  3. Walmart will be on the right. Pass that exit and take the next road on the right, 5th Street.
  4. Immediately after turning right, you will reach a stop sign.
  5. Continue straight and follow the road to the end.
  6. The road dead-ends at the U12 fields.

Upshur County Soccer Fields - Teter Road

  1. Follow I-79 South to Exit 115.
  2. Take WV-20 South for approximately 16 miles.
  3. Turn left onto Teter Road.
  4. Continue approximately 1.1 miles.
  5. The fields will be on the left, past Hodgesville Elementary School.
